Cure Lawn Care
Lawn Care Services

WELCOME
Cure Lawn Care is a family-owned small business specializing in mowing and trimming, mulching, fall and spring yard clean up, and winter snow removal. We strive to provide an affordable, high-quality service and are committed to customer satisfaction.
Named in honor of our son Owen, who died of childhood cancer at 8 years old.

About:
My name is Wyatt Obey.
Prior to starting in the lawn care business, I spent a number of years working in mechanical insulating. During my son's cancer battle I needed something more flexible, and I was lucky enough to have a friend offer me work helping with her landscaping business. This experience sparked my interest in starting my own business, so I spent the last few years learning about lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, and small business ownership. I have been fortunate to learn from some of the best in our area! I plan to become licensed in pest and fertilizer application this winter for next summer's clients.
I have been doing my own home's lawn care and landscaping for over a decade. I used to live on Hazelwood Lane, which has many tall, old trees with a lot of leaves. Those trees provided a lot of learning opportunities for lawn care and maintenance! We spent a lot of time growing grass, changing mulch to rocks, weeding, and bringing leaves to the road (over and over and over).
Outside of work, I have 3 sons and 2 dogs with my spouse Chelsi. We are a part of the West Depere community. I enjoy hunting and golfing in my spare time.
Please reach out with any questions!

Our Inspiration:
Cure Lawn Care is named in honor of our son Owen Obey. Owen was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, when he was just 6 years old. He courageously fought for 1.5 years and passed away in 2024. Through this journey, we discovered how underfunded childhood cancer is, and also the generosity of our community. We proudly support local and national childhood cancer organizations. We hope to make Owen proud, spread his story, and make life better for children with cancer in the future.
We plan to post on our website and social media pages, to show what organizations we feel are good to support and provide transparency about our mission. We hope you will consider joining the cause to support and advocate for children with cancer.
Our first donation was to Alex's Lemonade Stand in December 2025. Alex's Lemonade Stand funds childhood cancer research and also provides family support. We donated during a "match" event so the money was doubled by another donor.
